Epiza-bot and Dumm-e

The reason I love computers is because they cannot lie. You tell them (give them code) to do something and they do it exactly the way you told them to. If it came out different from what you expected, then it’s your fault for being a faulty human 😂

I love the honesty from these 2 new robot friends of mine. I wish everyone was like them (easy to manipulate 🤣)

They’re both cloud enabled and talk to each other thru pub/sub messaging using a service called PubNub. I wanted to simplify my convoluted architecture for messaging between AWS services and yet another cloud provider but I can’t find a simple notification service that can connect to and from a non-cloud client. Ha. The simple notification service bit is a dig at AWS SNS and how it only supports email and sms as the only endpoints that are non AWS cloud managed services 😂. Voice recognition, parsing and text to speech is done using GCP voice services.

They’re called epiza-bot and dumm-e respectively. One is eventually going to be a robo-therapist and the other is a, well, dumm-e 😂. You can see there is an Intel neural computer stick 2 attached to Dumm-e. This hopefully means he gets a little bit smarter soon once I teach him a bit of machine learning tricks. Will post more updates as they progress and slowly get smarter.
