For years now my wife and I could never agree what “cold” meant. She would always tell me that it’s not that cold and I should turn the heat down. Since the winter is upon us again, I’ve decided to settle this argument and finally prove to her that I am feeling cold because it really is quantifiably cold.
I added a BMP180 barometric pressure, temperature and altitude sensor to my particle photon watch. This way I can definitively prove that I am not making it up when I say I am freezing. The sensor seems pretty accurate when taking temperatures as just touching it detects changes. I am less confident about the altitude sensor though as that just uses the barometric pressure taken against sea level to calculate altitude.
