My 10 year old product owner demanded that a case be installed on his retro pie. Business case was that there is high likelihood of liquids or other particulates 10 year olds spew would get into his retro pie when he plays with it during after school. A related business case was that it was not MTA subway friendly. So it was a functional and security related work item that needed to be addressed ASAP! 🧐

 

On the educational angle, today he learned what round, flat, square and triangle files are and got to use them to make the slots on the plastic case for the usb hub cord attached on the back. He also wants to play Pokemon on gameboy so will walk him thru how to install a new emulator on the retro pie. Bonus lesson is to not inhale toxic plastic fumes from a soldering iron when making small holes on the plastic case with it.
